![]() Magic Kingdom is a perfect country setting for preschool children. Our fully licensed programs exceed the State of Connecticut guidelines. We individualize the curriculum when necessary to meet the unique needs of each child. Preschool begins at 2 years 9 months, and extends until the child is ready for kindergarten. The preschool curriculum prepares children for kindergarten. We emphasize literacy, mathematics, fine motor control and we encourage the development of social skills. At Magic Kingdom, literacy is approached using whole language and phonics. Concepts are presented with a blend of the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. No child's learning style is overlooked and no child is missed. Our children are encouraged to problem solve, participate in classroom planning, and initiate their own learning through discovery. We stress self-esteem and social skills because children learn best when they are relaxed and confident. Most importantly, we work to build character by teaching age-appropriate organizational skills and responsibility. ![]() 7:00-8:30 Breakfast club: children arrive and can play in quiet centers. 8:30-8:45 Circle time: with stories and songs. 8:45 AM Three and Four year olds separate into respective classrooms. 8:45-9:15 Activity time: Table activities are offered each day, such as coloring, water colors, rice table and play dough.
